Grandmaster Warrior Oscar Corrales Hervoso is the Founder of Tao-Do Kempo and Chief Instructor of South American Goju in Bolivia. He started his martial arts experience in 1979 with a Kung Fu master in Bolivia and then joined the Hawaiian Kempo School run by Sensei Miguel Espinosa A in 1980. In 1986 he had the privilege to meet African Goju and South American Goju Founder Professor Danny Gwira and was one of the students trained in South American Goju. In 1993, he moved to the United States where he joined the Aikido school of Arlington in Virginia, USA; under the tutelage of Donny Lyon. In 1996 he started his training in kickboxing and in a short time became the best student and then one of the best teachers of the kickboxing school. He then met Alex Cintra in Salvador of Bahía, Brasil and started his training of Brazilian Jujitsu. After just a few years he was training with two of the most important fighters in Brasil; Rogerio Luna and Marcio Bitencurt.
Oscar Corrales became one of the pioneers of MMA in Bolivia opening his academy in 1999. He has also trained in other systems such as Taekwondo, Karate and Krav Maga.
He trains with the Bolivian Special Forces and has introduced South American Goju to them. He also runs his own protection business, specialising in Bodyguard training and unarmed combat under the umbrella of www.risks-incorporated.com
